Michigan State is right where I thought it would be-- 3-1 after four non-conference games. Next up is the Big Ten season, and what is different for me is I think the Spartans will be in every single game the remainder of the season. I see no team on MSU's schedule the rest of the way who will dominate the Spartans because of MSU's defense. And the other Big Ten teams just don't look that explosive to me. I'm not saying they'll win 'em all. Yes they have huge offensive issues and I don't know how much better they'll get on that side of the ball. But I think they do not have to be super-duper on offense to win a lot of games this fall.
As for the quarterback, makes no difference to me. I haven't seen anything from any of them that makes me think one is that much better than the other. They simply have to try and improve with what they have as I see it.
