Tom Izzo says his MSU basketball team has a small margin for error-- guys can't be off very much to win in the NCAA tournament. And he says MSU won't out athlete other teams as some MSU teams he's had have done in the past.
MSU has to avoid injuries of course and it has to recover quickly from games. From late Friday to Sunday afternoon to the following Thursday in Phoenix-- not a lot of down time. And it's a tiring time of year for teams who've endured long seasons. No time for injuries to pile up or existing ailments to get worse.
I figure MSU beats Long Island/Brooklyn, right, but then maybe if it's Memphis on Sunday afternoon that's a tough battle against a quick team who is red hot at the moment. None of the one and two seeded teams made it to the Finial Four a year ago, but you figure that trend won't continue this year-- or will it?
