He wore number 48 from 1986-89 in East Lansing anchoring Michigan State's linebacker corps and Percy Snow was a typical George Perles style player. He was tough and aggressive and he went on to play five years in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears. Snow is a hall of famer as of Tuesday, voted in with 12 others and he'll be inducted December 10th in New York City.
He clearly was one of the best at his position in MSU history and he goes into Spartan Stadium's Ring of Honor during the Michigan game on November 2nd. Snow was the 13th pick in the 1990 draft after becoming the first player ever to win the Butkus and Lombardi awards in the same year, in his case, 1989.
He did not always play on great MSU teams, but he did play in the Rose Bowl as a sophomore and two bowls after that. The College hall of fame is moving to Atlanta and opens in August, 2014 after spending years in South Bend, Indiana. Way to go Percy Snow, the pride of Canton, Ohio.
