Red Wings Weren't a Surprise

I made $1 betting against the Red Wings with our oldest.  I hoped I'd lose but I didn't think Detroit could beat a good team like San Jose four straight, especially with game 7 on San Jose ice.  I thought it would be close and it sure was and we'll always wonder about the outcome had the Red Wings had injured forwards Dan Cleary, Todd Bertuzzi and Johan Franzen available.  They would have been big pressure for the Sharks to deal with.

Hockey is great during the playoffs without all those silly timeouts which plague the daylights out of otherwise exciting basketball games.  The Red Wings have to determine the status of Nick Lidstrom. At age 41 does he want to come back for another year?  He has the talent in my book, but when is enough enough, right?  I think Lidstrom is just fantastic. The best athlete for his age I've seen, including Brett Favre.  And former Spartan Drew Miller hopes to re-sign with Detroit during the off season.  Stay tuned.
