Be sure and watch WILX's Olympics special one week from Friday, July 27th. It airs from 7 to 7:30pm in advance of the Opening Ceremonies. The Olympics run for 16 days from London and WILX TV will have extensive nightly coverage on all its newscasts.
Among the feature stories on the special-- a profile of Judy Brown Clarke, who won a silver in track in 1984 in Los Angeles. She brought the medal in to our studio to show us while we taped her story. She looks good in her video we found running her race in the Coliseum.
Like everyone else in the area who will watch the games, she is anxious to see how DeWitt's Jodryn Wieber fares in gymnastics. Clarke has followed her closely and expects her to do well because she is mature, can handle pressure and is well prepared.
