For the past 20 years Notre Dame football has drawn plenty of criticism because it's fashionable to do-- Notre Dame is a school that many love or hate and there are others like that, but the Irish have had their share of bashers over some mediocre football seasons.
But now the Irish look legitimiately improved and if they beat Michigan Saturday night, which I fully expect, that would complete a 3-0 run against Big Ten contenders and a 4-0 record overall. I have Notre Dame 7-0 playing at Oklahoma and if the Irish win that game, I have them 11-0 finishing at USC. But first things first-- Brian Kelly keeping his players in the mood to improve. It begins with his defense which must contain Denard Robinson Saturday night. Robinson has had his way in three consecutive Michigan wins, but this seems to be a different ND defense.
And Michigan State has a bye week-- nothing about the Eastern Michigan game has relevance unless it's an injury to a key player or players. Ohio State is in a week from Saturday and that's when the next big hurdle appears.
