No Surprise -- Wisconsin Done

I don't dislike Bo Ryan but I almost never would vote him Big Ten coach of the year.  The Wisconsin Badgers are the first Big Ten team eliminated in post season play.  The Badgers looked like their old selves Friday in a 57-46 NCAA tournament opening loss to Ole Miss.  Wisconsin led 25-22 at halftime but was brutal on offense in the second half and ended up shooting 25 per cent from the field for the game.  The Badgers finish 23-12 and lost their final two games.

Charles Barkley criticized Wisconsin's style of play on the post game show and I agreed with him.  He says the players have to have a chance to play and in games like these they just can't beat enough teams to make a legitimate tournament run.  Who goes out next?  Including Purdue and Iowa in other post season tournaments, eight Big Ten teams are still playing while the Badgers now join Nebraska, Penn State and Northwestern whose seasons are complete.
