MSU Women's Golf Performance Not Surprising

She's a tremendous player in her own right-- and that I believe is why the MSU women's golf program is as good as it is today.  Stacy Slobodnik Stoll plays competitively and she's a mom and a wife at the same time and she can probably beat her own players.  They learn from her and MSU has now repeated as Big Ten women's golf champ.  The Spartans are ranked 21st in the nation and while they likely won't win the NCAA title they should qualify for the finals with a decent week in Regional play next week at Penn State.

Slobodnik Stoll lands good players and develops them-- DeWitt's Liz Nagel is a classic example.  Her career at MSU started slowly but she has blended in and now she's been honored as a second team all Big Ten player behind first teamer Caroline Powers.  With MSU's facilities that are available MSU's two programs should continue to be of quality because Casey Lubahn looks like he'll have success on the men's side sooner or later.  He's in his second year and he is a good player in his own right as well.
