MSU Start is Satisfactory

The final score is misleading.  Michigan State clearly was superior physically to Valparaiso and it showed five minutes into the game.  MSU likely won't go on a 26-5 run the remainder of the NCAA basketball tournament.  Valparaiso was done by halftime when it was 35-17.  Bring on the next game Saturday.

I'm a little concerned about Keith Appling's leg.  He was limping though he did play.  If you knew Derrick Nix would score 23 points and get his own record 15 rebounds the rest of the way you'd think State would be a tough out.  And maybe the Spartans will be.  But will that be Nix's best performance of the tournament?  If so who else steps up?  Other Spartans had their moments good and bad.  This final score is pretty much expected.  No surprises yet, big ones anyway.  Who's next?
