Ludicrous Recruiting Routines

Let's just say Tom Izzo put in a full day's work on Thursday.  He spoke in Detroit, conducted practice for his MSU basketball team in Jenison Fieldhouse.  He left at 5pm by private plane for suburban Dallas to watch Chicago's Jabari Parker play a game.  He couldn't speak to Parker, just observe along with his assistant Dwayne Stephens.  He arrived back in Lansing approximately 3am.

Then he began Friday preparing for the three day Jenison Jubilee, tiring enough.   After Friday's alumni game he is hosting a massive party for players at his home.  And on and on it goes.  I always worry about burnout for these coaches.  They are highly paid but the rules don't protect them from burnout.

One would think the NCAA could figure out that major recruiting reform is required and to also eliminate some of these massive recruiting costs too.
