Marathons are run in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo and now Lansing will stage its first on Sunday, April 22nd at 8am. It will begin on Grand Avenue by the Accident Fund building and wind through East Lansing, Holt and back down to the Capitol where the finish line will be located. Organizers are hoping for 1,200 contestants and another 1,800 for the half marathon. A 5-K run for kids will be run on April 21st with an Expo to be held on the 21st in Cooley Law School Stadium.
