It's been a bizarre football season at Arkansas to say the least-- first Bobby Petrino fired in April and John L. Smith, his replacement, filing for bankruptcy. John L., in court documents, says he owes $25.7 million and is trying to protect the $1.2 million he has on hand. His Razorbacks have a 1-2 record and host 3-0 Rutgers on Saturday.
He's been at his bizarre best at press conferences, just like his Michigan State days. Smith is on a one yar $810,000 contract and he's under fire for the way his team has played, especially in the wake of a 52-0 loss this last Saturday to Alabama.
It's hard to picture Smith remaining at Arkansas past this season. And now that he spurned Weber State, his alma mater, why would that school ever take him back after he left before he ever coached a single game.
