Is Revenge the Number One Factor?

Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said he hasn't heard his players talk about revenge in beating Michigan State Saturday night in Indianapolis.  That's fine but you know that motive has to be there.  MSU has won three of the last four against the Badgers and the back to back losses in East Lansing have been galling.  In 2010 MSU won 34-24 and the Badgers were sloppy and it was their only regular season loss-- costing them a shot at the national title.  And this last October 22nd-- well everyone knows about the hail mary pass.  What if MSU had lost the game would the Spartans then have revenge on their minds and would that all play a factor?

When I hear players say the Rose Bowl incentive is enough to get fired up that's fine, but the Badgers may have that extra intangible.  The best thing about this game for me is that it will be played indoors on a neutral field where no crowd support and no weather can influence the outcome.  The teams will do it.  They may make mistakes and officials calls could be crucial but at least the neutral field should help determine who deserves to rightly head to Pasadena.
