It took me all week to finally pick Michigan State 25-20 over Ohio State 9 days ago-- this pick isn't as tough for me, even though I could be wrong like a lot of others interested in the Michigan/Michigan State game this Saturday. Michigan State is a three point favorite-- and to me it's simply a home field advantage toward who wins. If the game was in Ann Arbor it would be a much tougher call even though MSU won handily there a year ago.
The key match up to me again involves MSU's offensive line. Michigan's defense seems improved but not exactly air tight and I think MSU wants to run the ball as much as possible so as not to place too much pressure than is already there for quarterback Kirk Cousins. The clock needs to run and Denard Robinson needs to stay on the sidelines-- at least I believe that is the Spartans' goal.
Michigan can't afford to get behind the way it did at Northwestern-- I think Michigan State is a vastly superior team than Northwestern but then again the Wolverines did win by 18 points and turned it over three times.
Michigan plays well for a half, then Michigan State makes the plays in the third quarter and holds off the Wolverines at the end to win by a touchdown. Something like 27-20.
