Home from six days in Charlevoix, but with a weekend in Gaylord coming up. If only the weather was good for longer periods of time. So many great golf course to choose from and most have lowered rates because they all struggle to stay in business.
Belvedere in Charlevoix has been my favorite for years. Go take a fishing trip from Ward Brothers Charters in the Round Lake harbor and have fun or rent boats and go enjoy the water ways. I've been in Charlevoix since 1976 and I never saw such storms move through that area on three occasions, two overnight, but one just about brought down Harbor Springs while we were therer Tuesday morning. Belvedere had 7 holes closed for a couple of days because of so much water that fell so quickly.
Great deals abound in northern Michigan if you know where to look. And don't forget Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island celebrating its 125th birthday in a variety of ways this summer. But if we only had better weather longer than just the summertime.
