The NFL Combine is underway in Indianapolis at the stadium where the Super Bowl was played several weeks ago. It's old home for six MSU Spartans who felt the disappointment of losinig the Dec. 3rd Big Ten championship game to Wisconsin 42-39. But the six Spartans invited to the Combine need to rally and impress the numerous NFL scouts in attendance.
The Spartans invited are Kirk Cousins, B. J. Cunningham, Jerel Worthy, Edwin Baker, Keshawn Martin and Trenton Robinson. Worthy figures to be chosen first in the NFL Draft, which will be held in New York, April 26-28. Who knows how high Cousins will be chosen since he impressed scouts at the Senior Bowl game last month and has been working out regularly in Florida.
The Combine is shown on the NFL Network live, so if you have no life you can tune in and watch all these former college stars do their thing. Pro day is coming to MSU on March 14th in which more MSU prospects are tested and timed, but few of them actually get chosen in the draft past the guys already invited to Indianapolis. These six Spartans were a part of 22 wins the past two MSU seasons-- we'll see what the pros think of them with cash on the line.
