February is just about here. How about a Final Four in Atlanta in early April of the following: Michigan, Kansas, Florida and maybe North Carolina State as the surprise team. Next four contenders, in no particular order, how about Indiana, Michigan State, Syracuse and Arizona. Then let's make it Louisville, Butler, Georgetown and Duke. There's 12 teams, all of whom could win it, at least in my mind, heading to February.
But there will be injuries and other issues that come up over the next five weeks heading to Selection Sunday. Michigan and Michigan State will likely play in different regions but they could both play first round games at the Palace in Auburn Hills.
I'm concerned about Michigan State's depth and always have this entire season. The Spartans look to me like seven core guys will take them as far as they can go. They can play with anyone it seems, but the upsets are what might get them by the end of the season. We'll see.
