It's fun to get away, but you get refreshed and come back and with a new football season around the corner, it's such a big deal in these parts. I've been to Washington, D. C. and Baltimore twice now in 14 months. Good times, but so many people and so many tourists. We missed the Saturday night Tigers game in Baltimore. It rained all day and we left thinking they'd never play. We were shocked the game came off. It sure didn't seem like it would make it at the time.
It's fun for four days in New Hampshire on a secluded lake, but you're away from all the news unless you have the internet. We did, thank heaven. The stock market dominated the talk more than the start of football practice. There's a lot of hype for three weeks leading into the first games.
Michigan State should annihilate Youngstown State. There's no betting line on the game because Youngstown State isn't even division one. The Spartans have plenty of candidates for playing time at most of the positions. That bodes well for another good season. Summer seems to end quicker than before because August is so full of sports.
