Home from eight days in Florida. The massive Notre Dame assembly in the Miami area is obviously disappointed today. It's a great place for the BCS title game because there is so much to do and the weather is better than Orlando and Tampa, etc. South Beach is all it's billed up to be and with the fan experience there thousands strolled through the streets spending money freely for four days.
Notre Dame will be fine with a tremendous recruiting class coming on board. Alabama will always be good and the Tide are 3-1 favorites in Las Vegas Monday to repeat as national champs a year from now. Alabama just keeps getting super players and it's amazing that Nick Saban has won four national titles since leaving Michigan State following the 1999 season. The gridlock and traffic were the only rough parts of the trip, and it's pricey to attend these things. But with that weather and that setting I think the BCS final football game has transcended the Final Four in basketball because football is the biggest sport in America. My thoughts.
