First Jim Tressel over Memorial Day now Joe Paterno perhaps by the end of this season. Hard to believe. I never would have thought either Big Ten coach could be forced out even though their issues are completely different. Paterno isn't gone yet-- but the dark clouds are hovering over Unhappy Valley.
Who knows how many heads will roll at Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal of young boys over the past 15 years. The Penn State board of trustees meets Friday, one day prior to Penn State's final home game against Nebraska, a big showdown with Big Ten title game implications on the line.
How the Penn State players can ever concentrate over all the speculation over Paterno's future is hard to imagine at this point. I always say it and say it again-- stay tuned. How does this story play out and Paterno is now a bigger part of the story than Sandusky and he's the culprit who got 'em all in this mess.
