Great Sports TV Weekend

A great way to start a week of vacation before the summer ends-- northern Michigan and great sports on television.  So what's it going to be?

We have the end of the Olympics with championship basketball games and the closing ceremonies Sunday night.  DeWitt's Jordyn Wieber stayed in London to participate with the American team because she did not march in the opening ceremonies.  Her family and coach have returned home.

The PGA championship is the final major of the year and the Kiawah Island course in South Carolina looks mighty challenging.  The big names, including Tiger Woods, are off to great starts.  That's good Saturday and Sunday fare.

The Tigers are hot and they are in Texas and the Rangers always give them trouble.  The games should provide some offense so how will the Rangers fare against Justin Verlander?  A sports fan can't lose!  Oh and don't forget the Lions game at home Friday night against the Cleveland Browns with plenty of other pre season games around the NFL airing this weekend for good measure.
