Home from five days on Mackinac Island-- take your family-- so much to do and at so little cost. Take your bikes and have a ball. That place is made for bikers of all levels. It's not that expensive to take your own bikes-- then you have "transportation." Stay anywhere but Grand Hotel is worth it if you've never done it. You can horse ride, bike, play tennis or golf, fly a kite, shop through town-- you get the idea. It's tougher if the weather isn't good but if it is the ride around the island-- 8 miles around-- is well worth it in scenery alone besides the fact that the exercise is tremendous.
Kids will love Grand Hotel with the big swimming pool and other amenities. The place is good for any special family function-- it hosted no less than five weddings on Saturday in different locations on the property in perfect weather. The churches are worth a visit on week ends as well-- most dominations represented. We've been going for 18 years-- every year-- and I'm likely going back on Labor Day because the colors and weather is usually tremendous too.
