I never thought Charles Rogers would have the problems he's had since he left Michigan State following the 2002 football season. But he always seems sooner or later to be in the news and all of it for the problems he encounters. Rogers is 32 years old now and there are warrants out for his arrest this week from a Saginaw County judge. He missed a pre trial hearing I guess. And he has to deal with five new misdemeanor chargeds on two separate incidents.
He has a history or drug and alcohol problems and he has issues with his mother to be sure. Just read the arrest reports over the years. I don't know if he'll ever get his life straightened out but it's amazing this guy was the second pick overall in the 2003 draft-- natch by the Detroit Lions. He had his brilliant on field moments at Michigan State-- but I had a hunch he'd have problems down the road-- and he sure has!
