Carol Hutchins isn't known by many around here but what a career she's had as Michigan's softball coach. She's a 1979 MSU grad, played on State's softball team, and for the past 27 years she's been the Wolverines coach. Her team is 41-3 this season and is ranked number one in the nation. Michigan leads the Big Ten with a 9-1 record and will help dedicate MSU's new Secchia Stadium on May 14th. Her team is loaded top to bottom and reportedly she makes $190,000 per year. Michigan has fans at its softball games each season, mainly because the Wolverines are always good. She has an envious record for any Big Ten program.
She's won 1,200 career games and is 805 games over the .500 mark in her career. I don't know whether her team can win the national title again. Michigan won in 2005 in Oklahoma City where the tournament is played each year. She has a lot of talent and if things play out well Michigan could win a national title, which would be the second for the former Everett High School star.
