A visit with Michigan State baseball coach Jake Boss Tuesday reveals he has a busy six months ahead even though his team ended its season nearly two months ago.
Boss has another youth camp at McLane Stadium due to start next Monday. He has five weeks of fall baseball camp set to begin in early September with practices set for five days a week. He will be recruiting with his assistants all during this time.
At the end of July he is also taking his son to the Dominican Republic for a week of clinics where he has taught previously. And for the fourth time he will visit South Africa with his daughter for clinics for kids in early December. Boss used to make that trip with his dad when he was coaching.
Boss has completed five seasons as the Spartans' head coach. He loves the travel and promoting the game especially now that he can include his family. His youngest, a daughter, turned five on Monday.
