If you don't like golf, well then don't read any further. If you do then you know what I mean about the magic of the Masters. I'm having trouble concentrating in the office today with ESPN carrying the par 3 contest. Nicklaus/Palmer/Player are all together and we are seeing every shot. It's great they still have the health to do it-- Arnie is in his 80s now and he can still get around a bit.
The weather is fantastic, as usual, certainly a far cry of what we're seeing around mid Michigan this year. And that makes it even more spectacular. I claim the Masters TV ratings will be high because Tiger is a favorite and the cold northern weather will put golfers in front of their television sets through Sunday's final round.
There is no other golf event like it anywhere in my mind. And playing it on the same course, glorious as Augusta National is, makes it even better because everyone is familiar with the course having watched so much drama in the Masters over the years. Enjoy this week!
