Big Ten Races Wide Open

I don't even think Ohio State is an overwhelming favorite in the Big Ten's Leaders Division race in its last year before realignment next year and the addition of Rutgers and Maryland.  Wisconsin plays at Columbus Saturday night and if the Badgers win they have command even though it would only be one weekend into the league season.

And in the Legends Division it's easier to figure out who is out than who is in.  Any of five teams, even Iowa, I think can make a run to the Big Ten title game.  Michigan State has a tepid schedule and with the Spartans' defense they can stay in most if not all the games.  Their whole league season, I believe, will hinge on how their offense develops and next up is the Big Ten opener a week from Saturday at Iowa.  I'll take State to win the opener.
