DeWitt's Jordyn Wieber is now 100 days away from the Olympic games in London, providing of course, she qualifies for the U. S. team. She is about to land another four endorsement deals which will give her at least eight. She is heading toward hiring a big time agent to handle her affairs. If she wins Gold in London who knows if she'll be at Dewitt for her senior year of high school. And she may not be around much anyway. If she makes the U. S. team she'll be on a 40-city ten week tour of the U. S. with other Olympic athletes. She wants to attend DeWitt at least for the second semester next year and graduate with her classmates.
She has competitions left in St. Louis and San Jose before the Olympics and she needs to do well, which is expected. She's been training in Texas and practices in the mornings. She attends class in the afternoon at DeWitt and is online for her morning classes. She attends two classes at the high school in person.
Her sister Lindsay just ran her first Boston Marathon on Monday. It's a talented family with brother Ryan headed to Central Michigan University as a general student this fall after quarterbacking the DeWitt football team last season.
