Two big games within 24 hours, both on the road. Who has the best chance to win this week end MSU football or basketball. MSU's basketball team will be a decided underdog to top ranked North Carolina but in conditions on an aircraft carrier, who knows how anyone may well perform. The Spartans will have to play with poise to win of course but I think that's a longer shot than the football team winning at Iowa.
The Hawkeyes have beaten MSU seven straight times in Iowa City dating back to 1987, but somehow this may well be State's year. The Spartans are resolved to play better on the road and I don't think Iowa is all that tough anyway. Iowa beat Michigan and it's senior day in Iowa City and the Hawkeyes can still determine their own destiny-- but somehow I think it may well be State's day, as it often has been these past two seasons and football comes home with a win and basketball with a loss. Stay tuned.
