Banquet Journey Takes A Break

My fourth banquet to work in two weeks is up Thursday night at MSU's Kellogg Center-- the 28th annual Father Mac Scholarship Dinner to benefit kids who need scholarship aid to attend Lansing Catholic High School.  We did the radio show at Lansing Catholic during the morning, the first time in the program's 19-year history we have broadcast from a school.

It was great because we interviewed 15 key figures including six athletes, all of whom have great potential written all over them.  Some will play in college, some won't but all are bright and the senior class of more than 100 will graduate on May 20th, the first school in the area to host graduation ceremonies.

Catholic has had a fabulous sports year led by its senior class.  Stellar in football and boys basketball, girls golf and cross country to name just several.  It's hard to believe any school, let alone Lansing Catholic, will have such a collective group of athletes as the class of 2012 has given the Cougar nation over the past few years.
