The State of Michigan has been bountiful for MSU's football coaching staff this recruiting season.  All six of the MSU recruits are from Michigan high schools and all of course will play their senior seasons this fall.  The Spartans have just added their first quarterback to the group for 2010-- Joe Boisture from Saline, located near Ann Arbor.

Boisture is 6-6 and 208 pounds, a strong armed thrower who is in the shotgun most of the time in high school.  The Spartans are chasing several quarterbacks but Boisture was willing to commit now, hence the offer and acceptance.  He will sign in February with his other committed teammates, again all from in state.  The Spartans are in their own camp season so more commitments are expected soon and the wonder is when will the first out of state player say yes to MSU?

It is obvious the Dantonio staff is busy working Michigan high schools because the success rate can be much higher than elsewhere.  Who know how Boisture will fare in college, but MSU will also have Andrew Maxwell of Midland available by that time.  Maxwell is an incoming freshman this fall and a highly touted player.  And of course Keith Nichol and Kirk Cousins have a couple of seasons of eligibility as well so the position seems well fortified.

The prize of the 2010 class so far is defensive end William Gholston of Detroit Southeastern and he may not have recruiters completely finished with him even though he seems like a solid commitment.
