Whether Matt Millen meant what he said about the state of the Lions-- "Stay the course." It doesn't read right in the papers and of course it becomes a punch line for anyone in radio... And oh by the way that's part of the problem-- the Lions always seem content and staying the course is fine and everyone says this stuff-- except the Lions -- I have been surprised by their start-- not that they've lost, but the way they've done it. They better win at San Francisco or that bye week will be depressing for them. They'll have an 0-3 record and the Bears come to town next and they look pretty good defensively. The Lions have fooled me thus far-- If figured they'd be better and maybe they will be-- after all there are 14 games remaining-- but they better start playing better-- fast.
Want to come to our house Sunday on a sunny day for the great MSU Marching Band American music concert? Call Lisa at 896-4198 and you can be part of a record crowd for this sixth annual event. It benefits the band and Children's Miracle Network. It starts at 3pm and goes till whenever and you'll love it-- trust me.
I was surprised all week by everyone around here who picks MSU to beat Notre Dame by such a lopsided score. I don't know-- I think Notre Dame will play tough on Saturday-- but then I thought the Lions were improved too. Michigan State better hunker down because I don't think the Irish will be intimidated. The visiting team has won seven straight times-- will that trend continue? Hard to believe tickets are still available for all remaining MSU home games, but that's the case-- you can go to any game you wish-- dial up the MSUSpartans.com website and follow directions.
