On the same day the Big Ten announced its divisional alignment, we held our Tim's Ultimate Golf Outing Wednesday at MSU's Forest Akers courses.  It was a long day but rewarding in a number of ways and I love this type of event because the best people in the community support the hospital and it seems like the same ones have been with us for so many years.  This was year 12 and the 13th event is set for next August 31st.

We always add fresh faces and from among the athletes ranks-- Allyssa DeHaan, Andre Hutson, Jeff Smoker and T. J. Duckett were on hand with smiles and cares for the cause like everyone else.  It was great watching Smoker and Duckett reminisce about their touchdown pass/catch at the end of the 2001 MSU/UM game in Spartan Stadium which won't soon be forgotten.  Even Spartan Bob, as he is known and a volunteer for us, was on hand to visit with the guys-- he was the clock operator remember?

Next up-- the 8th annual MSU Marching Band For Kids Concert.  Please good Lord can we ask for more good weather that you have blessed us with throughout the past?  When we have it it makes the day so special with hundreds on hand at the house to have a great deal of fun.  Call 364-5680 at the Sparrow Foundation to take part.  We have new surprises this year and we always try to do something a little different.  The events are always less than two weeks apart and they require a lot of detail work but it's always a letdown when they are over too.
