Big Football Weekend

If you like football-- well the high schools hit their third games Friday night-- Grand Ledge at Sexton the big one in this area-- take Grand Ledge to move to 3-0 although Sexton is still dangerous despite its first loss last Friday to Monroe, 32-31.  Can Okemos move to 3-0 as expected with a home win over 1-1 Everett?  Probably.  Can Haslett move from 0-2 with a win at home over dangerous Owosso, 1-1?  The Vikings sure need a win before facing DeWitt next week.

The game Saturday is Notre Dame at Michigan.  A record NCAA crowd expected.  More than 114,000 and Michigan doesn't have enough infra structure to do it all smoothly at night but it's on anyway and should be another terrific match up.  Earlier in the day, can Michigan State look improved with a win over Florida Atlantic?  I'll say yes.  Florida Atlantic is awful and that 41-3 loss at Florida last Saturday was no fluke.

And Sunday do the Lions keep their overall 8-game win streak going forward?  They are a one point underdog at Tampa Bay. I'll take the Lions.  Matt Stafford is too good at quarterback.  They won at Tampa last year without him.
