Favortite Spot for a Michigan Vacation

For those of us who can't afford to go to the Bahamas for your vacation Michigan has many wonderful places to spend a vacation.  One of my favorite places to go is the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore, it's a great place to go to take in Michigan's wonderful scenery. You can't forget Mackinac Island, with it's wonderful historical attractions and beautiful landscape Mackinac Island is a great place for a family vacation.  You could also turn your vacation in to a history lesson. With more than 1,100 historical markers across the state any where you go can be an adventure. Tell us what your favorite spot to vavcation in Michigan is.

Higgins Lake is at least has to be up there. Especially when you camp out on the lake. Such a beauitful clean lake, peaceful surroundings. Yet cloase enough to go to town for what ever you need. Hike through the state park can really make for a wonderful afternoon.

I really enjoy Manistee. Almost every summer we drive along the lakeshore, and through the forrests. We camp and kayak, go fishing and enjoy simple homecooked dinners at mom and pop restraunts. Northern Michigan has alot of beauty.
