The Democratic Presidential Candidate walked into the Lansing Center Monday at about 11:30 am to deliver his speech on his Energy Plan.

Candidates from both parties think Michigan is the perfect spot to unveil their energy plans. Representative Paul Opsommer says Senator John McCain will be in Monroe, Michigan doing the same thing on Tuesday.

I was at the rally and was extremely inspired. I just turned 18 and am SO excited that the first year I am able to vote I saw the future president in my home town on his birthday. I will never forget this day.

John McCain came to Lansing and Jackson in two separate visits. He did not receive this coverage.

McCain is visitng a Detroit area nuclear power plant, and for security reasons there will be no press allowed. It's not a conspiracy or some trick by the media to elect a Democrat. If McCain was garnering throngs of screaming fans and adulation for both substance and style, he'd get the converage, too. Simple fact- he's old, boring, and more of the same- not exactly 'breaking news.' Since when was being a charismatic, intelligent, thoughtful and nuanced communicator a reason to vote against a person to run this country?? All our best presidents (and other celebrities) have been such; Rove's biggest coup was to convince half the country that these attributes were negative with words like 'elitist'... and it sounds like some of you are still zombies to this 'winning political strategy.' WAKE UP.

Barack Obama received local coverage because he was in LANSING. If John McCain comes to LANSING, the same will be done for him as well.

Will McCain receive the same amount of air time tomorrow?

I would like to see McCain speech tomorrow on TV.

In my opinion McCain is an old dinosaur and likely to die in office. I'm voting for youth and change!

Yet another Obama speech that was short on substance and long on platitudes. According to Barak Hussein Obama, we're supposed to go back to the horse and buggy days. I remember another moron who thought that way. Jimmy Carter. Thanks to good ol' Jimmy's term in the White House, we had double-digit inflation; double-digit interest rates; double digit unemployment; gas rationing; electricity rationing; water rationing; airline highjackings; hostages taken. Yes, those were the good ol' days of having a Socialist/Extremist in the White House. But hey, Jimmy gave some nice speeches (and his never had any substance either).

Alzheimers has become an epidemic. What will Obama do to increase money for research for this more common than not disease called alzheimers?

Great speech. I would like to see McCain come out with his plan...
